MG is expanding its electric vehicle range in India with the upcoming launch of the Cloud EV, following the success of the MG Comet and ZS EV.

The MG Cloud EV will be positioned between the entry-level Comet EV and the premium ZS EV, targeting a new segment of customers.

Priced under Rs. 20 lakh for the base trim, the Cloud EV is expected to attract cost-conscious buyers looking for an electric crossover.

The Cloud EV will feature a unique MUV-like design, distinguishing it from conventional SUVs and crossovers in the affordable EV segment. It will have a connected LED DRL, closed grille, and headlamps on the front bumper.

Based on the Wuling Cloud EV sold in Indonesia, the MG Cloud will be rebadged for India with minor design modifications.

The Cloud EV's interior will boast a minimalist, spacious design with features like a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and wireless phone charger.

The Cloud EV will come with advanced safety features, including 4-6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, TPMS, Hill Hold Assist, and a 360-degree camera. Additionally, it will offer ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and autonomous emergency braking.

Equipped with a 50.6 kWh battery pack, the Cloud EV's electric motor will generate 136 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque, offering a claimed driving range of 460 km.

The Cloud EV supports DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 100% in just 30 minutes, enhancing convenience for users.
